Mayflies

Last weekend i saw what i had never seen before: the "flowering of the Tisza". We planned a company-event at the riverside on friday evening: some canouing, then frying some bacons and sousages at a camp-fire. And we were lucky enough to do it just in the perfect week of the year: when the may-flies were out! These small insects are burried for three years in the mud under the water, and when finally they come out and make their last transformation (to get their wings) they live only for one more day. During that single day they have to find their mate and lay the eggs. So for one week they are dancing in huge swarms over the river every evening - for the greates joy of the spectators (including the hungry ones, like fishes and birds). And then by sunset their dead bodies cover the surface of the water...
I've tried to upload some pictures on imagestation, but it does not work yet (you can try it later). http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2090855882&code=28521967&mode=invite&DCMP=isc-email-AlbumInvite
So you can download the images and also a video from sendspace:

Nice one :-) Thanks Zoli for updating and sending the pics! The surrondings though look very impressive, and this time you had more ladies around ;) not just the secretary.

I will upload a few pics as well, from my social activity with my company - stay tuned!
